Dave and Wemi started working together in February 2012. It wasn’t all romance and fireworks at first, but soon after Wemi decided to take the advice of a mutual friend and co-worker, and go on a date.
On the night Dave proposed, New Years Eve, Dave and Wemi planned on going to church. Before heading off, Dave slipped away to the porch and braved the cold weather to prepare his final surprise. He sent Wemi a text message that sent her on a journey of love letters hidden around the house with the titles “Our Love”, “Our First Date”, and “Our First Kiss”. After reading all of the heartfelt romantic notes from Dave, it was that moment when Wemi finally realized something special was about to happen. The letters navigated Wemi down to the kitchen for “Our First Meal” while the final letter was titled “Our First Trip” and described some of the greatest memories shared between the two in such beautiful landscapes.
About 25 minutes later and Dave, still standing in the freezing cold, rang the doorbell rang and began to read a final poem to Wemi. At the end of the poem, he asked and she said yes!
The bride’s favourite moment from their big day took place during her walk down the aisle. “It was then I knew that we were starting the rest of our lives together and I looked up and saw my groom with tears in his eyes,” says Wemi.
The couple’s favourite wedding details included their reception decor that matched their movie theme and the ceremony gardens beautifully.
