Anna and Gregory’s love story began as a work romance. After a few years of being friends, they slowly began dating. Being that it was a small company, they chose to keep it a secret in the office to avoid any unfavorable attention, however, flirty run-ins in the kitchen made it was quite obvious to everyone that the two had a strong connection from the very start. Gregory proposed to Anna at the top of La Roche in Mont Tremblant National Park. After an incredible weekend of snowboarding, delicious meals and lots of wine, Gregory convinced Anna to go on a snowshoe hike to look at the view from the top of La Roche before heading back to Toronto that evening.
Since Gregory is quite adventurous by nature and really enjoys spending time outdoors, Anna didn’t think anything of it. Finally, they reached the top to the most incredible view overlooking the National Park full of snow-covered treetops and a silvery-blue landscape of Lac Monroe and the surrounding mountains. Anna looked over at Gregory and he was down on one knee in the snow, with a little blue box asking her to marry him.
For Anna and Gregory, it’s difficult to pick just one favourite wedding moment, but agree some of their favourite memories from that special day included all of the speeches at their reception. The couple often found themselves laughing and crying at the same time, listening to all of the love and memories that were shared and sentiments that were expressed. “It was a truly memorable moment, taking the time to pour your heart out to loved ones… things that you don’t necessarily express in your day to day life,” says Anna.
The couple’s favorite wedding detail would have to be the florals. “Melanie from Lush Florals & Events literally nailed the exact look and feel that I was hoping for,” says the bride. The dreamy colours and unique and whimsical textures were all strategically selected to play a part in what can only be described as a wintery bohemian fairytale. The bride loved them so much that she dried a few of the arrangements to use in our home as potpourri and centerpieces on our dining table.
