Christene, wearing a Paloma Blanca gown, exchanged vows with Mark, in front of 90 guests at Azul Fives-Playa Del Carmen.
Unique aspects: Instead of getting married on the beach, the couple chose an elegant gazebo set back from the water. This gave them privacy and made for a more intimate setting, as opposed to getting married in front of all the hotel guests.
Hardest part to plan: The menu selection was tough for the couple, especially without being able to taste it beforehand. It turned out to be delicious!
Would you have done anything different? “I would have kept the DJ for one hour longer,” says Christene. “The celebration and dancing with my closest family and friends was too much fun!”
Destination wedding advice: Don’t stress! Everything comes together in the end. You’re in a beautiful country and that alone will make everything perfect!
Best part of the day: Christene says, “My first steps coming down the aisle. I felt like a princess and had many emotions running though me! Mark’s favourite part was our first dance. We took lessons for the Viennese Waltz!”
