Kalisha and Daniel’s love story began years ago on a fateful night at the Royal Ontario Museum. It was there, between ancient artifacts and dinosaur bones, that sparks first flew – and the rest, as they say, is history. Fast-forward to their October 2023 wedding in Toronto and the couple is still basking in true love. From their heartfelt vows to lively entertainment that celebrated Kalisha’s Caribbean roots, every detail of their Toronto wedding was uniquely them: fun, meaningful and unforgettable.

Fit for a princess:
Kalisha hadn’t realized the wedding dress she fell in love with at Kleinfeld’s was part of the Disney Fairytale Weddings Collection. As it turns out, it was meant to be – her favourite Disney princess growing up had always been Princess Jasmine.
What a party!
In honour of Kalisha’s Caribbean heritage, the couple treated guests to a lively cocktail hour with a steel pan player, followed by an energetic tassa group and a nonstop mix of soca, calypso, dancehall and reggae that kept the dance floor packed all night long.

The perfect venue:
The couple, who wanted a historical venue in Toronto that could accommodate their large wedding, fell in love with Palais Royale’s barrel-vaulted ceilings and large patio overlooking Lake Ontario. The romantic string lighting and expansive dance floor were the perfect finishing touches.
