Chris and Kelsea met in 2009 through her brother-in-law who was dating her older sister at the time. The couple’s first date was so much fun, that they decided right away to go on a double date to a baseball game. Chris was still in medical school at the time and Kelsea was finishing her undergraduate degree at McGill University, so the two dated for three weeks then dove into a long distance relationship for the next three years until Kelsea moved back to Windsor, Ontario.
After five years of dating, around Christmas, Kelsea had a few weeks off from school so the couple decided to go on their own winery tour for the day, followed by a nice dinner at the Keg in Windsor. Once the couple got home that night, and Kelsea changed into her PJs, Chris surprised her with a beautiful display of candles surrounding a ring. As she walked out he played their favourite song, “Come to Me”. The cutest part, Kelsea recalls, was that Chris just stood there when she walked out. He was so proud of his own display that he forgot to ask Kelsea THE BIG QUESTION! “It was both intimate and sentimental, and we were both so excited,” says Kelsea.
The couple’s favourite wedding moment was saying their vows. They selected their vows carefully because they expressed that the couple is together by choice and they accept each other as they are. “Chris and I are very independent individuals but have come together to be an even better team,” says Kelsea.
As for the bride’s favourite wedding detail, just ask Kelsea. “I LOVED MY DRESS,” says the bride. The couple also loved their band. “They were fantastic and the dance floor was packed the whole night,” says Chris.
