While out with her friends, Erica saw this guy wearing a t-shirt and on it was a giraffe and brontosaurus hugging. Erica pointed out the shirt to a friend, just as Andy’s friend noticed the girls staring and so he made his way over to them. Andy’s friend asked what Erica was pointing at, and she told him, “Your friend’s shirt is cute”. He called Andy over, asked Erica for her name, introduced the two, and told Andy to buy Erica a drink. The rest was history.
On a drive up to Erica’s hometown of Thompson, MB for Christmas, the couple stopped at the picturesque Pisew Falls to take a few pictures. Andy had set up the camera to take ten pictures in succession, just as he got down on one knee and asked Erica to marry him. The couple now has great photos of their very special moment.
The couple’s favourite wedding moment was their ceremony. Andy and Erica had picked unique songs that they loved and asked Erica’s cousin to play guitar and sing at the ceremony. The couple also asked a good friend to perform the ceremony. “The entire ceremony matched us perfectly and was a great reflection of our love and relationship,” says the bride.
As for the couple’s favourite wedding detail? That’s too sweet for words. “Our cake topper was a dinosaur groom and giraffe bride made by my sister,” says Erica. “They are the reason we met and have become the symbols of our relationship.”
