What started out as an ordinary hike in Algonquin Park turned out to be so much more than Sarah expected. She and Jeff ran into a girl on the trail and asked her to take a few pictures of them in the beautiful fall scenery. Then, in front of a waterfall, Jeff surprised Sarah by getting down on one knee and proposing. The girl they’d run into, turned out to be a photographer he’d hired to capture the big moment. Afterwards they walked over to his cottage for champagne with their families.
“He had everything planned out so well that I was completely surprised,” says the Bride.
The couple, who met online, were married on Sept 8, 2012 in Dorchester, Ontario before 135 guests. They kept the wedding classic with a black and white theme with red accents.
They say their favourite wedding detail was the photo booth they had at the reception. Some of the pictures from it were hilarious and guests had a lot of fun.
