When Sarah and Zach met at a mutual friend’s cottage in July of 2004, they took a liking to each other right away. And after two years of having a long-distance relationship, Sarah moved to Dorset to be with Zach.
On a summer day, Sarah and Zach decided to take their dog, Woody, for a walk. As they were walking, Sarah turned around and saw Zach with Woody – and he proposed on the spot! Zach gave Sarah a stunning marquise diamond ring, and the couple spent the next two years planning their dream wedding.
The ceremony was held in the groom’s parents’ garden in Dorset, ON, with a reception in Huntsville.
Sarah’s favourite moment was walking down the aisle through the forest. “Seeing Zach’s face at the end of the aisle was so perfect,” she says. “I was nearly short of breath and close to tears from being so happy.”
