Marina and Frank met at a Loblaws Superstore when they were both working there part-time. They would take their lunch breaks together, switch shifts to be able to see each other, and Frank would leave notes in Marina’s locker from time to time. They’ve been inseparable ever since.
A few years later Frank had planned the most romantic proposal. It was Super Bowl Sunday and Frank had tricked Marina into thinking they were going to hang out on the couch and watch the game. Once they arrived at his house, Marina was shocked to find hundreds of flower petals and candles laid out in a path that led her through the special moments of their relationship. At the end of the path, Frank got down on one knee and proposed – and that was the start of their love story.
The couple’s favourite wedding moment was their first dance as husband and wife. “It was the one moment that day where we were surrounded by all of our family and friends, but it felt like it was just the two of us,” says Marina. “We really got to take it all in and enjoy the feeling of being married. I got to look into my husband’s gorgeous blue eyes as he told me how happy he was and how much he loved me.”
Some of the couple’s favourite wedding details included the bride’s dress, the cake, and their flowers. “Everything was even more beautiful than I had hoped or imagined it would be,” says Marina.
