Eau de cologne is light and refreshing. Eau de toilette lasts a little longer because it has more perfume oil. Eau de pafum is more expensive and the scent lingers longer than either of them.
However, most expensive of all is perfume because it has such a high percentage of perfume oil. Next, check out the type of scent that is right for you: floral, citrus, fresh, oriental, spice, or wood. When you test a scent, give it time so you’re not just getting the top notes. As these dissipate you will pick up the middle note (the bouquet) and, finally, the basic note. Don’t make a fragrance decision until you discover the final note.
