Inspired by the conservation of honey bees, the palette was built on the warm, rich amber tones found in honey and was echoed in the wood furnishings, golden-hued candles, and soft romantic textiles, some of which were hand-dyed using plants. The floral arrangements incorporated locally grown blooms and sustainably foraged greenery.
Many of the sweet accessories and details that were chosen also contribute to bee conservation, including honey produced in Toronto from rooftop apiaries. The wedding cake also featured a honey buttercream, and the sweets were all lovingly garnished with bees and flowers to complete the motif.
