Three words came to mind with this inspirational shoot: bridal tea party. We wanted something different, something whimsical, soft, romantic and bright. We pictured light pinks, whites and greens against the white rocks and blue water of Plaster Cove, located in Iona, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Oh, and we absolutely needed a canoe. We shared our vision with some of our small town’s most talented vendors, and in less than a week, we were able to bring this shoot to life. We trusted that they would understand our vision, and they showed up with the perfect florals, décor and cake. Also, we cannot forget the dress. Did we mention it lights up?
The true icing on the cake, though, were our two models, Krissy and Lucas, who got married two months after this shoot took place. The love captured in these photos is true and desired. Their passion for one another turned this beautiful setting into a real life love story.
