Melissa and Michael, from Woodbridge, Ont., decided to combine their marriage and honeymoon. They chose Aruba. Everyone was invited to dress informally and enjoy the sand and sun. The exception was the bride and her maid of honour, who both wore strapless gowns.
The legal ceremony, in the morning, was at the Aruba Registrar’s offi ce at City Hall. The religious ceremony followed at 5 p.m. before 24 guests on the terrace of the Riu Palace Resort.
Dinner was at the resort’s Nautilus restaurant – a romantic setting that overlooked the beach and pool.
