La Saison Dorée – French for “The Golden Season” – was created as a wedding editorial interpretation of that feeling, bringing together the timeless elegance of Government House in Regina, Saskatchewan, with a romantic garden-inspired design.
Set against the venue’s historic architecture and mature gardens, this wedding editorial pairs a soft palette of ivory, blush, champagne and delicate pastels with abundant florals, feminine stationery and thoughtfully layered tablescape details. The result is a celebration that feels graceful and elevated while remaining warm and inviting.
Romance in every detail
The design begins with the details. A romantic stationery suite, heirloom-inspired ring details, floral accents and carefully composed invitation imagery establish the tone before leading into the larger celebration. Throughout the design, florals become the connecting thread – appearing organically throughout the ceremony setting, bridal bouquet, reception table and cake.
Fashion made for the setting
The bridal fashion was intentionally styled to complement the setting rather than compete with it. Soft, flowing fabrics and an ethereal veil create movement against the gardens, while the groom’s classic formal attire adds a refined contrast to the bride’s romantic silhouette.
An intimate garden celebration
For the ceremony, an intimate garden setting was created beneath the mature trees of Government House, with florals, candles and understated white details allowing the natural landscape to remain part of the design. The reception continues that same romantic language with an elegant tablescape layered with florals, fine details and soft colour.
