Go with earth tones and warm neutrals
Colour is becoming more natural and grounded, shifting toward warm neutrals and earth-toned palettes – think light tan, brown, olive, rust and blues. Instead of matching suits for all groomsmen, the focus is now on tonal coordination, where each look sits within the same colour family but varies in shade and depth. Together, this creates a unified visual story that feels intentional, modern and effortlessly put together.

Embrace check and plaid patterns
Patterns are having a moment this season, but in a much more refined way. Rather than bold or traditional statement prints, checks and plaids are being used to add subtle personality and texture to suits. These patterns work as part of a layered styling approach that creates a cohesive look across the entire wedding party. Expect to see brown and burgundy plaids, blue checks and other deep-toned patterns throughout the season.
The tuxedo is back
The tux is making a strong return for grooms this season, reaffirming its place as the ultimate symbol of timeless wedding style. Many are embracing black tie once again for its clean, confident and polished feel.

Grooms want to be more involved, expert planner Tracey Manailescu of Tracey M Events says. When grooms feel like they have a real role and their perspective matters, their involvement becomes genuine and the wedding feels that much more personal. The most successful weddings, she adds, happen when it’s approached as a true partnership, where both people feel represented in the experience.
1. Give him ownership, not just opinions
“Instead of asking the groom to weigh in on every detail, give him creative control over specific elements that are important to him, like the music, bar experience or menu selections. When there’s clear ownership, he’s not just ‘helping,’ he’s actively shaping the wedding.”
2. Focus on shared goals, not just aesthetics
“Shift the conversation from ‘what do you like?’ to ‘how do we want this to feel?’ Whether it’s an incredible party, a meaningful ceremony or an unforgettable guest experience, defining those goals together naturally pulls both partners into the process.
3. Build planning into your routine as a team
“Set aside intentional time to plan together, whether it’s a weekly check-in or a dedicated planning night. It keeps communication open, avoids one person carrying the mental load and reinforces that this is something you’re creating together, not delegating.”
