Ready for a little Christmas in July?
This styled shoot comes all the way from London, England, but it is so beautiful that we had to share!
Charlotte Ricard-Quesada, founder and creative director of La Fête, shares a bit about the inspiration.
Inspiration: We absolutely love winter ceremonies, and with this styled shoot, we wanted to convey the magic of the festive season. Centred around pink hues, metallics and mirrored surfaces, this unconventional take on a Christmas-inspired wedding, blends playful elementssuch as glitter nutcrackers and customised baubles, to regal florals and the most breath-taking historical venue.
Colour: “Light pink and white were the original colours to inspire this photo shoot, as a contrast to the usual jewel tone or red & green winter weddings. From there, we chose to highlight the pale shades with silver and gold metallics throughout, hints of fuchsia and touches of foliage and greens to add dimension. We also wanted tomake the most of the venue by having a mirrored table, which would reflect the soft yellow of Syon Park’s Great Hall: a contrast to the black and white marble floor.”
Tablescape: “We wanted our table setting to ally decadence and elegance, all while making sure that every detail was perfect. We opted for a mirrored table to reflect the grandeur of the room and paired it with snowflake embellished chairs, as a nod to the festive theme. As opposed to having one large centrepiece, we chose to have a lower arrangement running down the centre of the table, including pink bud vases, glitter reindeer, miniature snow-covered treesand two glitter nutcrackers (gold and silver), which give a sense of symmetry to the table.”
Flowers: “Flowers were crucial for this styled shoot, and we were fortunate enough to have Emma Soulsby create the most incredible displays especially for us. The key criteria were that the displays fit the grandeur of the venue and create separate ceremony and reception spaces. For the ceremonysetup, Emma and her team created a contemporary and unique take on a Christmas tree fit for the theme, which included pink pussy willow, cherry blossom and hanging baubles. These trees substituted a traditional arch and created a focal point for the ceremony, aided by the arches, sculpture and doorway in the background.”
