Unique aspects: Callie says, “We really wanted to have a casual, dinner party setting for our wedding and fell in love with our table style and settings. The hanging greenery and Edison bulbs made the atmosphere cozy and intimate just as I had imagined it being.”
Hardest part to plan: Planning everything sight unseen. Flying to Bali to confirm décor choices wasn’t really an option.
Destination wedding advice: Hire a wedding planner that connects with you and your vision, and put your trust in them completely. The bride had weekly Skype conversations with her planner, Kevin at Silver Lace Weddings. “He made himself available whenever I needed to chat or text and we had a very transparent relationship in terms of what we wanted to achieve for our wedding day,” says Callie.
Best part of the day: The couple opted out of the “first look” and chose to see each other at the altar. Callie says, “Walking down the aisle and finally getting to see each other was so special and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house.”
