A small, private wedding – Bridgerton style

“Gentle Readers,

Just because the Viscount and new Viscountess Bridgerton decided to host a small private wedding in their home, it does not mean they could keep the details from me.  Nor that I would dream of keeping the details from you.”

Those that have read the second Bridgerton book, The Viscount Who Loved Me, know that Kate and Anthony had a private wedding with only their immediate families in their drawing room.  The Albany Club in downtown Toronto, served as the perfect venue to style this wedding.  With the couple’s love of the country, and the outdoors, we imagined they would have brought the outdoors in with lots of florals.  Using this year’s colour of the year, “Very Peri”, as the base of our palette, we filled the main dining room with beautiful golden structures spilling with flowers.

A gorgeously adorned small ceremony was followed by a lovely dinner. Large flowers runners lined the long main dining table, while tall structures sat atop round tables on either side of the head table. Gold-edged, white tufted Louis chairs were used for the seating. Gold-leaf acrylic place cards let everyone know where to sit and matching acrylic menus let the guests know what they would be enjoying.

Their love, intensity and heat was evident throughout the day, but it wouldn’t be Kate and Anthony’s love story if we didn’t showcase their competitive natures by including their Pall Mall mallets. I’m sure a spirited game followed the festivities.
