A modern day wedding in the culturally rich country of Guatemala boasts panoramic views, authentic architecture and interior design, and world class gastronomic experiences.
This South Asian fusion styled shoot follows a bride through her sangeet, ceremony, and reception events. Each event is a distinct visual experience. The many customs and traditions of South Asian weddings are captured through decor, stationery, clothing and jewelry.
Today’s modern couple craft wedding experiences. They celebrate with family and friends in unique locales all over the world spanning three to four days.
The design of the events are a fusion of Indian and Guatemalan design aesthetics, using authentic materials, props, textiles and finishes. Raw and natural materials, cultural/traditional references and vibrant colour palettes become the signature of this aesthetic.
Jewel toned colour stories in rich orange, fuscia, and coral tones, loose/airy floral displays, unique place settings, and immense candlelight create an inviting cultural environment.
Clothing and jewelry is inspired by traditional South Asian bridal wear fused with Western design details.
