Debby and Albert met through friends at her birthday celebration. But he proposed in Quebec when they were high on a mountain, viewing a winter wonderland scene. They were on a snowboarding trip to Mont Tremblant.
When they exchanged their wedding vows, it was before 150 family and guests at Paradise Banquet Hall in Toronto.
Debby says that their favourite moment was their first dance. They had choreographed it and did a slow then fast dance to the song “Loving You is Easy” by Union J. Albert admits he was nervous, but they ended up having a great time, their guests loved it and it became the highlight of the reception.
They used their creative skills in planning their pink and blue glamour-themed wedding. They created the reception decor and designed their own invitations. Debby invented one of the guest book ideas – it invited guests to creatively colour in themselves so that a collage of everyone was in place at the end of the night.
They have since mounted and hung the collage and it brings back such happy memories of their big day.
