Krista and David met at a pub. “I was on a girls’ night and friends had picked a table without enough seats for everyone. I was arguing about the lack of room, when David piped up from the next table convincing me to sit down. I took the seat right next to him and we struck up a conversation,” says Krista. Their first date was four days later.
There was much less to argue about when it came to planning their wedding at the Burlington Golf & Country Club. Though they worried about the details and making sure everyone enjoyed themselves, the couple say they had the most memorable evening.
Their favourite moments were their first look (the typically calm groom was very emotional) and, later, hearing their friend play the most beautiful arrangement of a song they had picked.
Another moment that had the bride in tears was at the end of her husband’s speech. “David surprised me and played ‘All You Need Is Love’ by The Beatles on a grand piano and everyone sang along. That was unbelievable,” says the bride.
