Feeling stressed about the big day? Need some laughter in your life? Here are some wedding funnies to bring a smile to your face. Best watched with a pile of junk food!
Bridesmaids
Why we love it:Funny ladies who swear like sailors, go insane, but ultimately love and support each other.
What we can learn from it:Don’t expect everyone in the wedding party to instantly become best friends. Don’t eat at sketchy restaurants.
27 Dresses
Why we love it:A music montage filled with horrible bridesmaid fashion. Plus a “Bennie and the Jets” lip synching scene.
What we can learn from it:Lose the image of what you believe to be “perfect”. There is no such thing as perfection in another human. Don’t speed in a downpour; you could hydroplane.
Mamma Mia
Why we love it:The beauty of Greece, the Abba-infused wardrobe and the constant sing-alongs.
What we can learn from it:Don’t get married if you feel you aren’t ready. Discuss all your feelings with your partner. Don’t let Pierce Brosnan sing.
The Wedding Singer
Why we love it: The 80s fashion, music and overall retro vibe. Also, “Grow Old With You” might be the best song ever written in five minutes on a plane.
What we can learn from it: Planning a wedding is up to both partners. Carrying all the responsibility on your shoulders isn’t fun. And don’t hire Jon Lovitz to sing on your big day.
The Hangover
Why we love it:It’s hilarious. As ridiculous as the premise is, the movie is non-stop laughs.
What we can learn from it: Plan your bachelor/bachelorette parties a few weeks before the wedding, not on the same weekend.
Wedding Crashers
Why we love it:Vince Vaughn. Owen Wilson. Christopher Walken. The entire cast is pure gold. Save for a couple minutes, the film is light and fun.
What we can learn from it: Keep an eye on your guest list and maybe think about hiring security.
Meet The Parents
Why we love it: The excruciating awkwardness of it all, and Jinx the cat, who steals the show a couple times.
What we can learn from it: Never, ever pack important items (such as an engagement ring) in your checked luggage. Also, you have to earn your way into the circle of trust.
