Madeleine Bisson & Quintin Peirce
Surrounded with music, geodes and crystals, this couple exchanged vows with positive energy in the air.
Classmates: Maddie and Quintin met at The University of Toronto while studying theatre. They’ve been inseperable ever since, recently celebrating 10 years together.
Best part of the day: The duet from this musical couple, singing “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
What a gem: Maddie says, “I’m a gemmology specialist and we had a huge display of crystals and geodes for good vibes. We had a warming of the rings ceremony in which the guests passed around our wedding bands before the ceremony began to bless the rings with love and wishes. The takeaway gifts were loose gemstones.”
What went wrong: “Before the wedding started, I heard a crash and my best friend had taken a tumble,” says Maddie. “When I rushed over to see how she was, she was already standing and everything seemed fine. Several weeks later I found out she was holding the wedding cake when she fell, but saved it!”
The honeymoon: A two-week cruise through Spain, Italy and France.
