Full of vintage elegance, it was a day celebrated with 120 close family and friends when Chelsey and James were married in Grimsby, Ontario.
While Chelsey and James met in high school, and even though they had several mutual friends, they continued to pass each other in the hallway for years. It wasn’t until some time after graduation that they reconnected. After moving in together, James caught Chelsey off guard with a sweet proposal at home. On a Sunday morning, while Chelsey was still asleep, James surprised her with a heartfelt speech and a beautiful ring, and two and a half years later the big day was here.
The couple’s favourite wedding moment was their “first look” of each other on their wedding day, surrounded by their closest family and friends. “Seeing his reaction was the most amazing thing, and it definitely calmed my nerves,” says Chelsey.
As for the couple’s favourite wedding detail, it was hard to choose just one, but they both agree their wedding cake was a huge surprise. “We gave our cake designers, Bobbette & Belle, very few details to go on but their turned our wedding cake into a delicious work of art,” says Chelsey.
