On a day filled with love from their closest family and friends, Sarah and Ryan said “I do” in Acton, Ontario.
Ryan and Sarah met while they were both working at Home Depot. Even with that orange apron, it was love at first sight. They’ve been together for over six years. Ryan asked his youngest niece, Athena, to help him with his proposal. She called Sarah and asked over the phone “Will you marry Uncle Ryan?” When Sarah turned to look at him, Ryan was down on one knee with the most beautiful ring Sarah had ever seen.
The couple had many favourite moments from their wedding day, but the most favourite moment was when Sarah walked down the aisle to Ryan. “Seeing my groom standing there; at that moment it all became so real and the overwhelming joy and emotion I felt was indescribable,” says Sarah.
As for the couple’s favourite wedding detail, that was an easy one to pick. “My father passed away when I was young and my mom had kept the cake topper from their wedding from over 25 years ago that a friend had made for them,” says Sarah. The bride adds that it was such a subtle detail but meant the world to her to have it there on their wedding day.
