They say that true love starts with friendship, and that’s exactly how Megan and Tom began their life-long journey together. After being friends for quite a while, Megan and Tom got along so well that a romantic relationship was naturally the next step.
After 4 years of dating, Tom and Megan were at the cottage enjoying a sunset together, and as soon as it was over they went back to the cabin. That’s when Tom got down on one knee and proposed. “It’s our favorite place, and the timing was perfect,” says Megan.
The couple’s favourite wedding moment happened when a few friends decided to sing an original song called ‘The Ballad of Megan and Tom’. “It had everyone laughing,” says Megan. According to the groom, another moment that came just as close to being their favourite happened when a groomsmen jumped in front of all the single ladies to catch the bouquet for himself!
As for the couple’s favourite wedding detail? That’s an easy one! “We have had more compliments on our food than anything else – it was above and beyond wedding food, but more like a 5-star restaurant,” says Megan.
