After her freshman year of college, Meagan went back to work at her summer job at a Mexican restaurant in St. Louis, while Matt was a bartender and going to school. Meagan knew who he was because they had worked together in the past. They gradually started hanging out after work with friends. They dated long distance for three years until Meagan graduated Michigan State University in 2009. The rest is history!
One of the couple’s favourite wedding moments included the speech given by the father of the bride. Now, Meagan’s dad is not the crying, openly emotional kind of man. On this day, however, within the first sentence of his speech his voice started cracking and you could tell he was on the verge of tears. “I lost it. It was so crazy and so moving all at the same time,” says the bride. “It’s special moment between a father and his daughter that I will never forget.”
As for the couple’s favourite wedding detail? Ladies, it’s a no-brainer. “The dress is every girl’s dream – the process of picking it out, looking so beautiful in a special gown, what else could a girl want?,” says the bride. For the groom, the band was definitely a hit! “They get everyone excited, out on the dance floor, and bring the party home.”
