Sam and Shane met at work. While it wasn’t love at first sight, it was better. The two became friends first and soon having their coffee breaks and lunches together morphed into a drink after work. They were friends for months before having their first official date. Over time, the couple truly felt that because their relationship was based on true friendship.
Sam was in Toronto for work so Shane drove up to “surprise” her and pop the question. But it wasn’t really a surprise. The couple had many, many discussions over the years as to when, how and where they would eventually get married. In fact they had decided on the date before Shane officially proposed!
Now this is a wedding moment to remember. After Sam and Shane made their announcement that the birthday party they were hosting was in fact a wedding, there was a rush of people offering hugs and congratulations. All of the excitement and enthusiasm from their friends and family was overwhelming.
One of the couple’s favourite wedding details was their custom Converse shoes. Since Sam isn’t a dress-and-heels type of girl, and Shane’s not a suit-wearing type of guy, this accessory reflected the couple’s personal style.
