Giselle and Benoit bumped into each other at a music festival in Toronto. Benoit asked Giselle for her number. They went on a date and hit it off right away. They started dating soon afterwards.
For Valentine’s Day, Benoit took Giselle on a trip to go skiing in Whistler BC, an activity they both love. The weather was beautiful so the two went hiking in Squamish BC for the day. As they were watching the sunset, on the edge of a cliff, Benoit got down on one knee and asked Giselle to spend the rest of her life with him.
The couple’s favourite wedding moment from that day was seeing each other for the first time, as Giselle walked down the aisle and Benoit waited for her under their ceremony arch.
As for the couple’s favourite wedding detail? It was a showstopper. “It had to be our firework display,” says the bride. “But our wedding arch was very special. Benoit’s parents crafted it from scratch with beautiful branches and flowers. It was perfect.”
