It was a family affair when Jenny and Daryl said “I do” in front of 200 of their closest family and friends in Chatham, Ontario.
Daryl and Jenny met while attending the University of Windsor. It wasn’t until they neared end of their mutual program that they became close friends, and eventually began dating. Since then they’ve travelled from Windsor to Chatham, to Brampton, to England and to London side by side.
Nearly five years after beginning their relationship, Daryl brought Jenny back to the place where it all began – their drama classroom at the University of Windsor. They reminisced, Daryl proposed, and so began their journey toward marriage.
The bride and groom each have their own favourite wedding moment. For Jenny, it was seeing all of their friends and family from near and far reunited because of their love. For Daryl, it was greeting all of their guests as they arrived at the ceremony. “Rather than stirring my nerves, it seemed to bring me a kind of peace and calm to be surrounded by loved ones,” says Daryl.
And as for the couple’s favourite wedding detail, that’s an easy one to remember. “We hired a local band as the entertainment at our reception, and The Shake Band had our guests dancing all night,” says Jenny. Daryl adds that the midnight pizza and family-made baked goods buffet was quite the hit, though, too.
