Christine and Tim met in 2010 through a mutual friend. At first, they hardly spoke on the phone because they were both nervous and shy. Once they became more comfortable with each other, they started going on more and more dates, and they both knew they had found ‘the one’.
Tim proposed nearly two years after they began dating. Tim had prepared a movie trailer (with a Rocky theme) that was roughly 14 minutes long, and in the video he included all of their close friends and family. One evening a close friend of Christine’s asked her and Tim to go to the movies. When Christine walked into the theatre it was very dark, but she didn’t suspect a thing until the moment Tim’s movie began to play. After it finished, Tim then came out in the same outfit he had on in the movie, got down on one knee and asked Christine to be his wife. Of course, Christine said yes!
The bride’s favorite wedding moment was when she walked into the church and saw her husband-to-be waiting for her to walk down the aisle. Christine recalls it as “the most overwhelming but of course the happiest” day of her life.
As for the couple’s favourite wedding detail? Christine and Tim would have to say it was their wedding favours. “We decided to try something different, and so we hired three character sketch artists to draw portraits of our guests to take home with them,” says Christine. “Everyone told us the loved the idea and the sketch artists were so great and decided to stay until the end of the night to make sure everyone had the chance to get a portrait done.”
