Altos de Chavon is a replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village. Tourists and working artists flock to this magically inspirational village. Walk along the cobblestone streets and check out the artist studios, galleries, restaurants and boutiques. To have access to this fantasy village, there is an entrance fee of US$25 per person. This does not apply if you stay at nearby La Romana resorts or Casa de Campo Resort.
