This winter editorial was inspired by Vancouver’s Heritage Clubhouse, Hycroft Manor, an Edwardian mansion built in the early 1960s.
Wedding planner Sherry of Aleia Weddings and photographer Jenzel Velo created an earthy and timeless wedding theme focusing on a neutral colour palette, the beautiful architecture, simple designs and elegant details.
Jenzel says, “Our intention was to style everything from the flowers to the cake to the tablescape using soft materials and natural textures. The bridal styling for this came effortlessly as we worked with Fern & Moon’s newest collection, The Hathaway Collection. We asked the model to wear their rowen bodysuit paired with the portia ankle skirt achieving a relaxed and slim fit. I chose a real couple, Caitlin and Jayden, to model for this shoot. It was important for me to capture real emotions, and an authentic connection on top of all the beauty. Everything came together organically resulting in exactly what we had envisioned.”
