From warm amber florals to citrus-inspired beauty looks, the signature shade at the heart of Taylor Swift’s latest album is influencing this season’s wedding style in a big way. What started as a pop culture spark has quickly evolved into the orange wedding trend couples can’t stop saving, searching for and planning around. Bold, joyful and impossible to ignore, this vibrant hue is moving from mood boards to real-life celebrations with confidence.
Enter the orange era
With the colour orange stealing the spotlight, various experts have agreed that this season’s bridal trends will be anything but muted. Between makeup and bridesmaid dresses to tablescapes and décor, many couples are passing on traditional pastels and opting for a bold pop of colour inspired by “Portofino Orange Glitter,” the aesthetic of Taylor Swift’s album The Life of a Showgirl.
Sydney Stanback, global trends and insights lead for Pinterest, says that since the announcement of the album, searches for “Taylor Swift orange” have surged. “This momentum is carrying into weddings, with searches for ‘orange wedding’ up by 115 per cent. ‘Orange wedding dresses’ and ‘orange wedding guest dresses’ have also increased,” she says, noting that more couples are leaning into the bold, celebratory shade.
“Searches for ‘orange wedding cakes’ and ‘orange wedding flowers’ are also on the rise, as is ‘orange glitter’ – inspiring sparkling tablescapes, statement cakes and festive invitations.”
Décor dreams
From bouquets with vibrant orange blossoms to finer details such as glittery menus, vision boards are already sparking creative ideas among venue professionals as this iconic shade makes its way into the decorative elements found in wedding receptions.
“We find that fall weddings are naturally drawn to those oranges and warm tones in florals and tablescapes, as they reflect the changing foliage and general seasonal colours,” says Sonia Borkar, director of events and roundhouse operations at Steam Whistle Brewing. “Draping, florals, tablescapes, dancefloor vinyl, seating charts, lounge furniture, photobooths and dessert buffets can all be on theme.
We could even do an edible orange glitter signature cocktail or orange glitter menus shaped like a vinyl record at each place setting to really lean into the vibe.”
Fashion forward
From a style angle, grooms, too, are adding juicy accents with ties and pocket squares. Fashion designer Joseph Tassoni also says there’s been more excitement around glitter, playful textures and bold colour palettes. “For our 2026 presentation, we showcased rich orange tones in our actual fabrics made of sustainable fibres that reacted beautifully to the different shades of light. It brought warmth, energy and sophistication to our show, which filters through everywhere,” he says, noting that he has noticed more brides shifting towards orange shades. “The shift to orange makes things a little bit more personal, as it is less seen throughout all of the seasons.”
Mandarin magic
Maria Molchanova, NARS Cosmetics Canada communications manager, has also noticed an emerging trend in orange makeup, which she says has likely been influenced by Showgirl. “Orange makeup is having a moment and already gaining virality. We recently saw that with the NARS Morocco lipstick selling out when Swift’s makeup artist confirmed it as the shade she’s been wearing,” says Molchanova.
Bridal manicure
Erica Nieuwenhuis, CEO of Bio Sculpture Canada, says that since the announcement of the album, she has seen more requests for orange nails. “It’s especially popular among true Swifties,” she says. “For bold brides who want to bring a glittery orange into their bridal manicure, there are several creative options.
A chrome powder with an orange shift adds subtle shimmer, while floral nail art accented with orange makes for a meaningful detail. Orange glitter can also be incorporated through an ombré design or a French tip for a striking, yet elegant effect.” Nieuwenhuis says she also anticipates seeing orange nails appear in other bridal-adjacent moments, such as themed bridal showers, bachelorette parties or even European summer honeymoons, where brides and their parties can feel free to embrace a bolder, more playful colour story.
