When you see something so beautiful and unique, you want to know the thought process behind the inspiration. Phylicia Mendes, owner and planner at Jubilee Event Design explains how this ultra-glam shoot came to be. “It’s just pulling elements of glamour from Versace really,” she says. “I thought let’s be edgy, bold and romantic. So I decided to retell a story of Greek Myth – Medusa. It was said she was a pure, innocent, demigod who fell in love with a sea god, which was forbidden. So Athena cursed her with snake hair so she could never fall in love again. She’s also the face of the Versace emblem. This was made to show the importance of glam, contrast, and creativity through luxury with weddings.”
