Think of all the usual things for which you will register: china, cutlery, crystal, bed linen, kitchen appliances – and then think outside the box. You could plan to update an entire bathroom, for example, with at least half the items available through a registry.

Framed Mirror
The old, unframed mirror over the sink can be updated with an oversize framed mirror. The style of frame will depend on the style of the bathroom. An ornate wood frame is ideal if the room is traditional with use of wood and marble.
Faucets
New faucets can revive an older sink. Chrome isn’t your only choice. Check out the copper, bronze and French gold finishes before you register.
Baskets
An oversize basket can sit on the floor to house bath towels. An alternate is a threetiered, narrow cart on wheels for towels, soap dispenser and perhaps a plant.
