It may have been a blind date that put Tanya and Anthony together, but it was their love for each other that kept them that way.
The couple wed May 5, 2012 at the Rosewater Supper Club in Toronto before 80 guests. Though the wedding had a sweet and simple theme, the morning was hectic and the couple was almost late to their own ceremony. The bride says the best moment was at the altar when they were finally able to slow down and see their loved ones around them. In the moment when they looked into each other’s eyes and made their vows, she says, they were reminded that the ceremony was about their bond as a couple, and their everlasting commitment to each other.
The bride wanted a table of fun nostalgic candy as well as traditional Asian treats, but had some trouble finding sweets in her purple colour palate. Her friends saved the day and got together the night before the wedding, forming a makeshift candy factory to bake purple shortbread cookies and purple candied apples as a surprise.
With a strong connection and treats baked with love, Tanya and Anthony began their life together.
