It was all about bringing the outdoors in when Maria and Aaron Benjamins said ‘I do’ on July 7, 2012 in front of their 200 guests in London, Ontario. A chartreuse colour theme with black and white accents made their wedding day elegant, with soft pink and white flowers throughout the day. A late night photo booth at their reception showed off the couple’s playful side.
Maria and Aaron met through work and became best friends. After 6 years together, with plans to buy a house and move in together, the couple decided to have one last vacation. On their first night in the Caribbean, Aaron arranged for a very romantic dinner on the beach surrounded by candles. Just as the main course was being served Aaron walked over to Maria, got down on one knee, and the rest was history.
On their wedding day, Maria’s favourite moment was the ceremony. “Kissing my husband was a crazy moment,” she says. “I have a husband now!”
One of the couple’s favourite wedding details was a special photo of Maria’s father that wrapped around her bouquet. “For me, it ensured that he could still walk me down the aisle that day.”
