Taylor Swift, always ahead of trends, or setting them herself, wore both a white and red wedding gown by Taiwanese couture and wedding dress designers, Nicole + Felicia, in her latest video debut of “I Bet You Think About Me“, directed by Blake Lively.
According to a statement from the designer, “Specially made for the video, each gown is dripping with over 2,500 handmade floral appliqués featuring young flower buds that mature into vivacious blossoms. The essence of the design bespoke the beauty of transformation and rebirth. Each petal was created with a mixture of organza, tulle and netting petals in various colours to create highlights and depth within each flower. And in order to mimic the natural irregularities of flowers within nature, the petals were created in seven different sizes and fabrications.”
“The gown itself was created with approximately 800 yards of tulle and 150 yards of organza in a classic bell/A-Line silhouette with long, aisle sweeping train. The gown was created in both an eye catching soft angelic white as well as a ravishing ruby red – a red that would make Scarlett O’Hare blush.”
“Retailing at $39,500, the identical gowns were created within a tight 3-week deadline working with Taylor’s stylist, Joseph Cassell, for the video. And through the magic of Hollywood special effects, the gown transforms from white to red during a pivotal scene during the video. If you are a Taylor fan, you can only guess what that means!”
The question is: which dress do you like more – red or white?
