This shoot features green goodies in two ways: green in colour and recycled/reused items.
Kelsey Knoop, owner of Satin and Slate Weddings, planned the shoot and explains her inspiration.
“The recycled shoot was a concept I had thought of to try and use tropical house plants as décor, and use reuseable items from around the house. With so many DIY options available in your household, we wanted to find a way to create more décor with simple items like various pots, drinking bottles, textured fabrics and reusable rental plates. After the concept was thought up, we took a trip to Zero Waste Bulk in Waterloo, On., and found some amazing items to use as favours that create a clean and minimal impact on the planet. This concept really had us creating new ways to reuse décor, and make it useful for more than a few seasons. Remember to check out your house for items for your décor and you will be surprised what you can find!”
