Angela Nant and Nathan Hardy’s were each other’s firsts and last. The pair were childhood sweethearts back in grade six and they stayed in touch despite going their separate ways after high school.
Thanks to catching the travelling bug, they reconnected in 2008. It’s like the couple never spent years a part, says the bride. Nathan proposed to her at the Keg.
The duo hosted a traditional and classic wedding on May 12, 2012 at the St. Georges’ of Forest Hill Anglican Church in Kitchener, Ont. They shared their joyous occasion with 125 guests.
The bride’s favourite moment was when the couple arrived at their reception venue, Conestoga Place. “We arrived to a brand new sign out front of the hall that had been put up the day before and we were the first ones to be on it! It said ‘Congratulations Angela and Nathan!’ and seeing that was wonderful,” she says.
The chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and two-tiered wedding cake were the bride’s favourite detail, which were made by her sister (and maid of honour).
