Elisa lived in Windsor. Sam, who lived in Ottawa, was in town to see the Detroit Lions play. They happened to be having dinner in the same restaurant and began chatting. This developed into a long-distance friendship for a while, but their long, daily phone calls soon developed into love.
Together they planned their wedding, both wanting an elegant winter wedding that sparkled. When Elisa found the right dress, she wanted the approval of her grandmother. It happened to be very similar to the dress her grandmother had worn so many years ago, so of course, she loved the dress, but sewed on extra beading to make it unique.
Their 180 guests were treated to a glittering reception, with crystal chandeliers suspended from the ceiling and crystal candelabras at each table with orchids and feathers adding a touch of flair. The wedding colours were rose gold, gold, crystal and white.
The moment that had Elisa and Sam catching their breath was the setting of the sun, with the light of the sun shining over the white snow.
