Colin and Brittany met on her birthday at a little hipster bar in Windsor, Ontario. Brittany was hesitant to date such a muscle-man at first but quickly realized that Colin was a big softy.
Their engagement was truly an amazing and intimate day in October. They were in the Toronto area on a business trip for Colin. As they were driving by the Kortright Conservation Area, Colin suggested they should stop in for a bit. The couple hiked up to the bridge and once on the bridge, Colin handed Brittany something, and she quickly realized it was a lock engraved with ‘Will You Marry Me’. As soon as Brittany turned around, Colin was down on one knee with the most beautiful rose-gold diamond ring! Brittany immediately said YES and the couple celebrated with cupcakes and champagne.
A few of the couple’s favourite wedding moments include walking out of the church together for the first time as husband and wife, and stealing each other away for a private balcony dance during their reception.
As for the couple’s favourite wedding details, those are a bit harder to narrow down. Brittany fell in love with the flowers for the wedding once she saw her beautiful bouquet, while Colin says the couple was so lucky to work with Chef Aaron from Oxley, who made their wedding menu an experience even their toughest critics would never forget. Together, Brittany and Colin agree that the music at their wedding let their unique personalities shine through. “It was amazing how the music really captured our personas and it kept our friends dancing all night long,” says Brittany.
