Travel restrictions have definitely put limitations on those who want a tropical wedding. But did you know Canada can offer that? Jitka Zelenkova, of ItkasanImages, explains the inspiration behind this beautiful styled shoot:
“Our styled shoot was inspired by the palm trees, ocean and vacation resort atmosphere of the Prestige Oceanfront Resort in BC. With the travel restrictions that occured in 2020, we wanted to highlight that we have a venue right here on our beautiful Canadian shore that will transport you to your idyllic holiday and destination wedding!
The inspirational couple in our session, are eloping and have set up an intimate reception area in the resort’s open courtyard. From the invitation suite, to the bouquet, and tablescape, the theme is a sunny getaway, but with elegant touches.
The centrepiece consisted of colourful vases in blue and pink with citrus-coloured blooms. The use of citrus fruit along the table brought out the fresh and bright holiday vibe and pulled the décor together. The geometric design and edible gold leaf on the bottom tier of the cake, as well as the 14k gold jewelry the bride is wearing, elevated the mood.
The key flowers used were white anthurium, Areca palm leaf and painted palm. Other traditional flowers used to soften the look and complete the design in the colour palette were gladiolus, snap dragons, garden roses, ranunculus, carnations, craspedia, solidago, and Areca palm.”
