Aislynn and Ryan met on a blind date when the bride’s mother and the groom’s aunt decided to play cupid. If the couple could sum up their relationship in a few short words, they would be laughter and fun.
Both Aislynn and Ryan are musicians. Aislynn went to university for music education, while Ryan pursued music in a concert band in the city of Brampton. While Aislynn was off from university for a year, she joined the city of Brampton Concert Band to keep her skills sharp. Ryan saw her from across the room and immediately wanted to meet her. After multiple weeks of staring from across the room, the band performed at a concert one Saturday evening and Ryan finally got the chance to talk at length with Aislynn before and after the concert. They talked for days afterwards, had their first date, really hit it off, and made it official after dating for two weeks.
After five years together, spent travelling on weekends and getting to know each other, the couple decided to take their first real vacation in the summer of 2014. Ryan’s parents gave him a trip for the both of them to the Dominican Republic to celebrate his 30th birthday. After trying to keep the engagement ring a secret from Aislynn, Ryan proposed on the second night of their week-long holiday on the beach at sunset.
Their wedding day was everything they’d ever dreamed of, and their rustic elegant “shabby chic” theme was beautifully brought to life.
