Ashley was working and going to school in Toronto when she happened to meet Bryan, her future husband Geoff’s, best friend. “Bryan said I would be perfect for Geoff, so I gave Bryan my email address,” says Ashley. “That evening Bryan texted Geoff and said, ‘I just met your future wife. You can thank me later’.”
Two-and-a-half months after they first started emailing one another, Goeff flew to Toronto from his home in Vancouver and they met in person. “We met in the airport and shared our first kiss there….two years later he proposed in the same spot,” says Ashley.
The couple was married on November 9 at the One and Only Resort in Bahamas before 80 guests. Elegant and classic, their colour theme was white and off-white. They were thrilled with their venue, which they described as “beyond beautiful” and the food – including the late-night poutine – was incredible. But the bride’s favourite moment came later.
“My wonderful husband surprised me with his first-ever produced song he recorded for me. We had that song – Marry Me by Train – for our first dance and it was a super special moment,” says Ashley.
