Christa and Jérémie met in 2006 at a mutual friend’s party. They were quickly drawn to each other and began dating right away. After 8 years together, Jérémie proposed. He recreated one of their first dates and brought Christa to Omega Park. Jérémie took Christa by surprise and proposed to her later that day, at their home. The couple announced their engagement to their family and friends the next day by handing out copies of their reenacted proposal taken in a photo booth. “Seeing their faces as they looked at the pictures and then noticed the ring was priceless,” says the bride.
For this couple, it was impossible to choose just one favourite wedding moment. From Jérémie being brought to tears when Christa walked down the aisle, to the heartfelt speeches – it truly was the best day of their lives.
Christa and Jérémie took pride in adding personal touches to many of their wedding elements. Jeremie, a carpenter by trade, made wedding signs and large flower planters for each side of the aisle. Christa made baskets of toiletries for the restrooms and a vintage suitcase filled with flip-flops for dancing later on in the evening. “We especially loved our cupcake station and the centrepieces which were made of wooden tree trunks cut by the groom himself and hand-painted rocks indicating the table numbers by the bride,” says Christa.
