If you’re dreaming of a wedding that’s both unique and vibrant, this summer-inspired wedding shoot at Three Feathers Terrace in Innisfil, Ontario, will serve as your muse. Nestled in a venue with soaring ceilings and expansive windows that bathe the space in natural light, this dreamy shoot, the vision of Paula at The Memory Vine and Maya at Maya Tsur Floral design, is a symphony of colours, textures, and personalized touches that creates an unforgettable celebration.
Enchanting florals and exquisite decor
The vision began with an enchanting floral arch designed by @maya_floral_design, featuring a stunning array of spray roses, poppies, ranunculus, and double tulips. The mix of these florals added depth and dimension to the space, creating a romantic and inviting atmosphere. This floral fantasy was set against the backdrop of Three Feathers Terrace’s magnificent architecture, where oversized chandeliers cast a warm, ethereal glow over the entire summer-inspired wedding setting.
The tablescape, designed with meticulous attention to detail, showcased a harmonious palette of peach, coral, blush, and soft greens. This vibrant colour scheme brought a cheerful and warm ambiance to the celebration. The stationery, glassware, and linens were carefully selected to complement the floral arrangements, each piece contributing to the overall aesthetic. The blend of colours and textures made the table decor a feast for the eyes, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the celebration.
Captivating fashion and personal style
The bride’s journey from ceremony to reception featured two breathtaking gowns, each reflecting her unique style and the day’s joy. This is a beautiful way for brides to showcase their personal style, add an unexpected fashion twist, and leave their guests in awe. The groom, not to be outdone, complemented these looks with equally stylish attire, completing the picture of a perfectly coordinated couple.
Unique and memorable touches
One standout summer-inspired wedding idea from this shoot is the concept of individual mini cakes for each guest, doubling as a delightful wedding favour. This charming detail not only ensures that each guest feels special but also solves the common dilemma of leftover favours. It’s a sweet, personal touch that guests will talk about long after the celebration ends.
Adding to the magic was a live painter, @Paintedbyshauna, who captured the essence of the day in real-time. This unique addition provided a beautiful keepsake that the couple can treasure forever, a piece of art that encapsulates the love and joy of their wedding day.
Interactive and Instagram-worthy Elements
Consider adding interactive elements like a photo nook to infuse your summer-inspired wedding with even more personality. At Three Feathers Terrace, a charming corner adorned with a neon sign reading “Crazy in Love” became a favourite spot for photos.
This fun and stylish backdrop offered the perfect opportunity for the newlyweds, friends, and family to capture memories in an Instagram-worthy fashion. Such playful touches add an element of surprise and delight, making your wedding truly unforgettable.
Capturing the day
The talented @Lisavigliottaphotography captured every detail of this summer-inspired wedding styled shoot with an eye for the romantic and the joyful. Techniques like motion blur added a sense of movement and life to the photos, making each image a lively reflection of the day’s festivities. The result is a collection of memories that feel as dynamic and vibrant as the celebration.
This styled shoot beautifully illustrates how thoughtful details and creative elements can transform your wedding into a celebration that is uniquely yours. It’s a reminder that every aspect of your day, from the florals to the favours, can be a reflection of your love story.
Here’s a glimpse into how this beautiful summer-inspired wedding shoot came to life, in the words of Paula, the co-creator and wedding planner at @thememoryvine:
“We put together this editorial on a really cold winter day when all we wanted to feel was the warmth of a summer morning, enjoying the fragrance of flowers blooming, making you feel inspired by the change in season and all the beauty that comes with it. When putting together this editorial, we wanted to create something that would awaken the creative side of everyone planning their wedding day.
“We wanted to showcase the beauty of bringing pops of colour throughout, whether it be in the stationery, glassware or linens and how it can really elevate the feel and look of a design. Sometimes, we conceptualize a vision but have difficulty bringing it together, so we wanted to paint a picture of how a design comes to fruition.
“We chose Three Feathers Terrace because it encapsulated everything we were looking for. Gorgeous natural light, the highest ceilings and the most beautiful windows throughout, which is excellent when you want to have your whole wedding in one location. Playing with different florals such as spray roses, poppies, ranunculus, and double tulips allows you to see that by bringing in various textures and hues of colours, it will bring dimension to the final look and feel of your wedding day.
“We must admit that our favourite part of this editorial was seeing such incredibly gifted humans come together to create pure magic. Witnessing everyone bring their best game to contribute to the success of a concept is always really inspiring and reminds us why we love what we do so much. It also inspires us to keep pushing ourselves creatively and draw inspiration for our everyday lives.”
