With this editorial, co-creative directors Sadie Wiarda from L’Orangerie Photographie and Cristina Kisil from Cristina Kisil Flowers were inspired by the idea of a stylish city couple that decides to spontaneously escape to the country and elope over the weekend. There is a joy and freedom that arises when you choose to intentionally pare back, and Montreal vendors Sadie and Cristina explored this by focusing on just a few key elements: a beautiful intimate ceremony, a fun toast and an indulgent cake-cutting moment.
For a chic and effortless look, the bride was styled in a trendy Jenny Yoo “Wear Anywhere” Little White Dress, and a long veil by Laura Jayne Bridal; both provided by bridal boutique Ma Cherie Bleue.
For the flowers, Cristina focused on a vibrant and romantic palette of pinks, lilac, lavender and mauves. The romantic arch created the perfect intimate ceremony backdrop by the water at the beautiful Willow Inn in Hudson, QC. Cristina created a statement bouquet for our modern bride that featured spring florals such as tulips, ranunculus, sweet peas and hellebores. Beautiful vow books by Deux Amoureux acted as the perfect keepsakes for this magical day.
To cap off this playful shoot, Felicia Wong from Sweet Savour created a deconstructed square column cake that perfectly echoed the theme by pairing contemporary lines with the blossoming spring countryside.
