A relaxed real wedding in Toronto

Always planning on an intimate wedding, Stephanie and Tyler decided a break in COVID restrictions during the summer/fall was their perfect window to make things official. The Broadview Hotel seemed like the perfect spot for a hip, relaxed and stylish micro-wedding.

In less than four weeks, Toronto Wedding Planner and Stylist, Pastiche Events gathered a stellar team to bring this couple’s relaxed and romantic fall wedding at the historic Broadview Hotel to life. A transitional palette, a laid-back approach and an emotional gathering of 23 nearest and dearest provided Stephanie and Tyler with a heartfelt evening to celebrate love.                                                                                                                                          

From Stephanie: “Tyler and I met during frosh week at Western University. He went to high-school with my roommate – we grew up living 20 minutes apart knew lots of the same people, but went to different schools so had never met! We spent lots of time together when their high school group would come down to visit on weekends, and we ended up becoming close friends. I think both of us (and all our friends) suspected there was something more between us, but the timing never lined up – one of us was always seeing someone while the other was single.

We remained best friends through undergrad and while I was overseas for exchange in my final semester. My parents joke that they knew he was more than a friend when he surprised me at my graduation, which was months later than the rest of my class because I had missed the main ceremony while I was travelling – none of my other “friends” came out to my grad!

I was back working in Toronto but Tyler had stayed at Western for his Masters, so I started returning often to visit. After a year of many visits between London and Toronto, it was clear that we were more than “just friends”, and finally started dating – five years after we met! Then it only took 10 more years to get married!”
